The three layer construction is completely seam-sealed to prevent droplet ingress, and the outer shell is a durable nylon ripstop that has excellent abrasion-resistance. The design details have been kept to a minimum, but all the essentials - a dual-point adjustable hood, hook and loop cuffs with premium-feeling faux-suede pull tabs, a drawcord hem and two zipped hand pockets - are all present  and accounted for.
